"the theatre playground"

Every place is different, every place is spatial, every place is about positives and negatives, about its “genius loci”. It is an original, as well as the moments, which we can never alive two times.

There are undefined areas, millions of people passing by, hundreds nationalities in the South of Rotterdam. The hot spot is about new developments, young generation and our future? It is hidden by the office building, adjoining by the apartments, surrounded by the shopping mall, enclosed by the subway and other traffic. These elements gave rise to the idea of a 24 hours active stage combining roof concrete landscape with concrete objects as the auditoriums on the top.

The target group are not just the “youngsters” even the existing standing objects. How to bring them into the scenario? The roof touches and connects old and new, rises from the ground to take the people upstairs and lets them play on its big playground covered with extra outdoor stages, special street art elements and common architecture elements (walls, columns, terraces, patios, roof lights). Or it lets them explore the inside of the whole game. The program contains traditional theatre, contemporary art as a street art, workshops and lectures doing by you for you!
